Privacy Policy
Please Read Carefully This Policy explains how PetQiu processes information relating to you and your pets. Pet health, vaccination, weight, and similar information is primarily recorded by you. PetQiu does not provide veterinary diagnosis or medical services. When using photos, AI generation, community posting, or family sharing features, please upload only content that you have the right to process.
1. Scope and General Information
This Privacy Policy applies to the PetQiu mobile application, related websites, and the features and services they provide (collectively, the “Service”).
We process personal information in accordance with the principles of lawfulness, fairness, necessity, good faith, and data minimization. The scope of processing depends on the features you actually use. If a feature is not enabled, we will not automatically collect the corresponding category of information merely because it is described in this Policy.
Where the laws of your country or region grant you a higher standard of privacy rights, we will comply with the applicable laws.
2. Information We May Process
2.1 Account and Basic Profile Information
When you register, sign in, or complete your account profile, we may process your nickname, profile photo, sign-in credentials, linked email address, and other account information you voluntarily provide. If the Service supports use without registration, the corresponding account information will not be required.
2.2 Pet Profiles and Daily Records
To provide pet-management features, we may process information you enter, including your pet’s name, profile photo, species, breed, sex, date of birth or age, weight, personality, neuter status, days of companionship, feeding information, and supplies records.
If you use health and reminder features, this may also include vaccination, deworming, checkup, medication, veterinary visit, weight trend, bowel movement, and water intake information that you record yourself. This information is intended to help you organize your pet’s daily care. It does not constitute a medical record and is not a substitute for professional veterinary judgment.
2.3 Photos, Videos, and AI-Processed Content
When you voluntarily use pet cutout, illustration, comic-style, 3D-style, avatar, profile card, background decoration, or other AI or image-processing features, we process the photos, videos, and related generation instructions that you choose to upload or capture. Processing may occur locally or may involve transmission to us or to contracted cloud, image-processing, or AI service providers.
Unless we separately explain the purpose within a specific feature and obtain the required authorization, we will not use your uploaded private photos to train publicly available general-purpose models. If our business needs require a change to this purpose in the future, we will update the relevant disclosure and obtain your consent again where required by law.
Please do not upload photographs of third parties, identity documents, bank cards, private images, or other unnecessary sensitive information unless you have the right to use them.
2.4 Expense and Purchase Records
When you use the pet expense-tracking feature, we may process the expense category, amount, date, notes, and other information you enter. This feature is used to manage pet-related spending. Unless expressly required by a feature, we do not need you to provide a bank card number or complete payment-account information.
2.5 Community and Interaction Content
When you use the community, posting, commenting, liking, or reporting features, we process the nickname, profile photo, images, text, interaction records, and content-moderation information that you choose to make public. Content posted in public areas may be viewed, saved, or shared by other users, so please choose the scope of disclosure carefully.
2.6 Family Members and Sharing
When you invite family members to jointly manage a pet, we may process the invitation relationship, member nickname or account identifier, sharing permissions, and shared records. Please ensure that you have the right to invite the relevant individuals and share the corresponding pet information. You can adjust or terminate sharing through the application.
2.7 Device, Log, and Security Information
To maintain the stability and security of the Service, we may process device model, operating-system version, application version, language and time zone, network type, crash logs, error logs, usage times, feature interactions, anonymous or resettable device identifiers, and security-event information. We seek to avoid collecting device data that is unrelated to these purposes.
2.8 Purchase and Subscription Status
When you purchase PetQiu Pro, a subscription, or a one-time unlock, payment is generally processed by the Apple App Store, Google Play, or another application store. We may receive order status, product identifiers, transaction receipts or receipt-verification results, subscription expiration dates, refund status, and restored-purchase status, but we generally do not receive your complete bank-card information.
2.9 Device Permissions

If future features require additional system permissions, we will explain their purposes through a system prompt or feature page before requesting access.
3. How We Use Information
- To provide and maintain pet profiles, growth records, health reminders, expense tracking, community features, family sharing, AI image processing, and Pro benefits;
- To synchronize, back up, and restore content you choose to save, where the relevant feature is enabled;
- To verify purchases, restore purchases, and manage subscriptions or one-time purchase benefits;
- To send reminders you enable, service notifications, and important notices regarding changes to applicable rules;
- To troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, protect security, prevent fraud, and deter abuse;
- To analyze feature usage, using de-identified or aggregated information where practicable, in order to improve the product experience;
- To comply with laws, regulations, regulatory requirements, and dispute-resolution obligations, and to protect the lawful rights and interests of users, third parties, and us.
If we intend to use your personal information for a new purpose that is clearly unrelated to the original purpose of collection, we will provide additional notice and obtain the necessary authorization where required by applicable law.
4. Third-Party Services, Processing on Our Behalf, and Information Sharing
To provide certain features, we may use third-party cloud storage, AI or image processing, analytics, crash monitoring, push-notification, and payment-verification services. We provide only the information necessary for those providers to perform the relevant services and require appropriate protection through contracts, data-processing terms, or other reasonable measures.
We do not sell your personal information. Information may be disclosed to the service providers described above, to recipients you choose, in connection with a lawful merger or transfer of our business, or where required by law, regulation, or a competent authority.
5. Data Retention and Cross-Border Processing
We retain information only for the reasonable period necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, unless a longer period is required by law. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information, the relevant feature, account status, dispute resolution, and legal obligations.
After you delete a record, delete your account, or lawfully request deletion, we will delete or anonymize the relevant information within a reasonable period. Information temporarily retained for backup, security, dispute resolution, financial, or legal obligations will be removed after the applicable period ends, and its further use will be restricted.
If service providers or servers are located outside your country or region, your information may be processed across borders. We will use contractual protections, access controls, encryption, or other necessary measures in accordance with applicable law, and will provide separate notice, obtain consent, or complete other compliance procedures where legally required.
6. Your Rights and Choices
- Access, correct, or supplement your account information and pet records;
- Delete content you have posted, pet profiles, or other information that can be deleted through the application;
- Withdraw camera, photo, notification, and other system permissions. Withdrawal does not affect processing completed before withdrawal based on your authorization;
- Cancel or delete your account and request deletion of personal information associated with it, except where retention is permitted by law;
- Request a copy of, restriction of processing of, objection to processing of, or transfer of your personal information, to the extent provided by applicable law;
- Opt out of non-essential product analytics or marketing notifications if we offer such features in the future.
If a corresponding option is not yet available in the application, you may submit a request using the contact details at the end of this Policy. To protect account security, we may require reasonable identity verification.
7. Account Deletion
If PetQiu provides an account system, we will provide an account-deletion or cancellation option within the application, or another clear and actionable request method. Account deletion will generally result in the deletion or anonymization of cloud-based pet profiles, historical records, community profiles, and other identifiable information associated with the account, and such information may not be recoverable.
Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active subscription managed by an application store. If you no longer wish to renew, please also cancel the subscription through the relevant application store’s subscription-management settings.
8. Children and Minors
PetQiu is primarily intended for general users who have the legal capacity required to use the Service and is not specifically designed for children. If you are below the legal age at which you may independently consent to the processing of personal information in your region, please use the Service only with the guidance and consent of a parent or other legal guardian.
If we learn that we have processed a minor’s information without valid guardian consent where special protection is required by law, we will take appropriate measures, such as deleting the information or stopping the processing. Guardians may contact us using the details provided in this Policy.
9. Information Security
We use technical and organizational measures appropriate to the scale and risks of the Service, including access controls, encryption in transit, authentication, security audits, backups, and anomaly monitoring, to reduce the risk of unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or loss. No internet-based environment can be guaranteed to be absolutely secure, and we cannot promise that any system will always be free of security risks.
10. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Policy in response to feature changes, legal requirements, or adjustments to the Service. For changes that materially affect your rights, we will provide notice through in-app prompts, pop-ups, notifications, or other reasonable means. The updated version will apply from the stated effective date.
